Foothills Planning in Eagle, ID
We've had lots of discussion here lately over the Foothills area master plan, specifically the area north of Eagle, ID.
I have gathered a few suggestions about preservation of open space (TDRs, natural resource protection ordinances, right to farm laws, special natural area districts).
Any other suggestions from someone who has worked in a rural farming area where urban encroachment was a real issue? Eagle is looking at permitting the construction of 10,000+ homes in an area where they are trying to develop an economy built on viticulture. What should they do? Has this worked in other places?
