Andreas Kuckertz is an assistant professor (‘akademischer Rat’) teaching and researching management at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, where he is a member of the e-business and e-entrepreneurship research group. The group focuses on high-technology entrepreneurship in TIMES industries. Moreover, he is an associate member of the strategy, networks, and enterprise research group at the University of Vaasa, Finland.
He is Associate Editor of the International Journal of E-Entrepreneurship and Innovation and is on the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research as well as the Journal of Small Business Management. Within the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) he serves as the Country Vice President Germany. His research on various aspects of entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation has been published in numerous journals such as JBV, ERD, IJTM, or JBR.
Andreas holds a master's degree from the University of Leipzig, Germany, and received his doctoral degree with a thesis on venture capital finance from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2005.
