About

I graduated from Boise State University with a BFA in 1991, and received my Master in Library & Information Science from the University of Washington in 2003. I was was born in Guatemala, Central America and immigrated to the United States in 1983.

I'm an avid reader and library supporter, and am passionate for research in all forms; I dabble in computerized graphic design, collect illustration books, and enjoy experimenting with everything related to emergent technology as it relates to libraries, research, education, and its everyday impact in everyday life.

I provide bibliographic instruction/assistance to students of Boise State University through bibliographic instruction, classes, and online services at the Albertsons Library.

I enjoy playing racquetball, volleyball, and foosball. I'm married and have three boys.

Subject Expertise

I have extensive library experience working in special, public, and academic libraries and am fluent in Spanish.

I spent the bulk of my graduate research assistantship working to develop one of the first online Human Rights Film databases while providing reference services in the beautiful Suzzallo Library and hectic Odegaard Undergraduate Library at the University of Washington.

At Boise State University's Albertsons Library, I'm responsible for managing the Psychology, Modern Languages & Literatures, Bilingual Education, Anthropology and Philosophy collections.
